'This is how far behind I am on updating my blog.....about 6 weeks ago, we had the fun experience of bribing all our children to be perfect little angels for a photo session with our good friend, Myra Wike. Here are the fruits of our labors.....

Megan Leah - ballerina-in-training

Megan has decided to be a ballerina for Halloween, so I made her a tutu - not suprising for crafty people, but a definite feat for me. She insisted on wearing her whole costume for 2 days straight, then thankfully let me take it off and wash it! Her are a few pics - she posed herself - not bad for a 3 year old!

What time is it? Summer Time! It's our vacation!

The kids and I just returned from Utah for 2 whole weeks. We took almost 250 pictures, saw most of our family and cousins, went to the Dinosaur musuem at Thanksgiving Point, went rafting at Payson Lakes, saw several temples, ate outside everyday, the kids (and sometimes me) slept in a tent the entire time, played at the bottom of Bridal Veil Falls, swam in a pool, ate multiple watermelons and popsicles, Hannah and I went and watched Nana in a live broadcast of Music and the Spoken Word, went to Casa Bonita (in Denver), visited the Monte L. Bean Museum, used two bottles of sunscreen, went through nearly 500 styrofoam plates (sorry environment) watched the 2nd best Firework show in the country (Stadium of Fire), and I got to see 5 friends from high school!!!

Okay, so this is it....our family's first journey into blogging. I don't know if it should even be called a journey as that dictates some sort of time and I have no idea if I will be a good continuer of this whole blogging thing, but at least I'm going to try. That said....it would be nice if someone were sitting behind me telling me what to say - oh wait, someone is. Dave wants to make it clear that he has blogged before. My sister Danielle got me all excited about doing this blog - she started hers last week and they shared a picture of their new bird. We don't have any pets - well, the kids did have a ladybug in the house for a few hours. Alyssa brought him to me and said that he was sleeping now - did we have a bed for him. I didn't have the heart to tell her she probably killed him. No more ladybugs in the house for us.
